FIFA 17 names 10 new legends alongside this brand new trailer

Not long to wait...

With the launch of FIFA 17 fast approaching, new details are now coming at us thick and fast.

Tuesday evening saw the launch of the latest trailer for game, which is the first of the FIFA series to be powered by Frostbite.

Along with offering us a further glimpse of what we can expect from the game, the use of a remixed version of Blur’s Song 2 will remind those of us that are old enough of the days of FIFA 98 – Road to the World Cup.

The launch of the new trailer was not the only big FIFA 17 news on Tuesday, with 10 new legends being unveiled, too.

Former Manchester United quartet Paul Scholes, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Rio Ferdinand and Juan Sebastián Verón have been promoted to legendary status, as have Marc Overmars and Emmanuel Petit – members of Arsenal’s double-winning side in 1998.

Liverpool-supporting players of the game will be pleased to learn that Jamie Carragher has also been given his own legend card along with ex-Barcelona skipper Carles Puyol, Juventus great Alessandro Del Piero and Mexican forward, Luis Hernandez.

FIFA 17 officially lands in the UK on September 29, a couple of days after its release in the US. Stand by for more revelations in the days ahead.
