There are a few things that we want to see in the new Spider-Man film.
1) No emo fringes, tantrums or dancing struts down the street. 2) No painful backstory where we see poor Uncle Ben biting the big one, but not before he gets to tell Peter that “with great power comes great responsibility” of course. 3) Some kick-ass action and deadpan one-liners.
Tom Holland’s stellar cameo in Captain America: Civil War has got our Spidey senses tingling, because it seems like he really understands what makes the character tick. But as we all know, a hero is only as good as the villain he faces.
Good news, then, because it’s looking like the web crawler will be squaring off against multiple adversaries in Jon Watts’ new film.
It has been widely rumoured that Michael Keaton will be taking on the role of Vulture while Bokeem Woodbine, the chilling Mike Milligan in Fargo Season 2, will be playing Shocker.
The first images of Shocker have been released online and they’ve only increased our excitement. July 7th can’t come quickly enough.

In the comics, Shocker is a engineer who goes by the civilian name of Herman Schultz.
Traditionally one of the first villains Spider-Man encounters, Shocker’s nifty trick is a pair of air of gauntlets that shoot air blasts, vibrating at high frequency.

One of the more down to earth Spider-Man baddies, Shocker isn’t too fussed with taking over the Earth or figuring out Spider-Man’s secret identity. He just wants enough money to get back.
Decent enough fella really. Who just so happens to be part of the Sinister Six from time to time.
So with Vulture, Shocker, and a rumoured Tinkerer planned, it looks like Spidey will be up against it in the new movie.
No wonder Robert Downey Jr’s been roped into help…
Spider-Man: Homecoming is pencilled in for a July 7, 2017 release.
