Who’s scruffy looking?
Given that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story kicked all sorts of ass and delivered one of the most memorable action scenes in Star Wars history (Vader, always Vader), the next spin-off in the beloved franchise will have a lot to live up to.
While Star Wars fans are eagerly waiting on the trailer for The Last Jedi, this announcement regarding the upcoming Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) film should fill the void nicely.
Cameras are already rolling on the adventure-filled past of the iconic scoundrel and everyone’s favorite Wookiee and we’re promised that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s film will explore the duo’s adventures before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, including their early encounters with that other card-playing rogue from a galaxy far, far away, Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover)
Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be along for the ride, with Joonas Suotamo wearing the iconic Chewbacca outfit.
“Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous,” Lord and Miller said. “We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”
The untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story is slated for release on May 25, 2018.
