AVENGERS ASSEMBLE! TO GET TATTOOS
It’s hard to imagine a time before there were approximately 70,465 Avengers filling up our screens at every minute of the day, but at one point in the not-so-distant past there were just six.
Yes, there used to be just six of them. Six of them on screen at the same time waiting around until the thousands of other Avengers arrived to fill the void of space and time.
While no one has anything against the likes of Vision or Doctor Strange, like most things in life you simply can’t do any better than the original of something, and it appears that the original Avengers crew feel exactly the same way, because five of the six have unveiled a set of matching tattoos to immortalise their time together and mark the release of Avengers: Infinity War.
In footage posted on his Instagram account, Robert Downey Jr. – AKA Tony Stark AKA Iron Man – showed himself, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) all having their bodies permanently inked with the famous Avengers logo.
While Chris Evans (Captain America) was missing from the footage, Downey Jr. revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Evans had in fact got his own matching tattoo in New York from the same tattoo artist.
One absence from the group session was Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) who we can only assumed wasn’t invited for fear of the pain causing him to rampage violently through the parlour.

While a tattoo commemorating a film may seem a little unusual to those three people out there who haven’t seen a single edition of the Marvel cinematic universe, it isn’t the first time a group of actors have remembered their time together with ink.
Some Lord of the Rings cast members famously got themselves tattooed to celebrate their roles in the film trilogy and the friendships they made along the way *cries solitary tear*.
The actors got the word “nine” inked upon themselves in honour of the nine members of the Fellowship of the Ring
