Could we be any more excited?!
No one told us the last year and a half was gonna be this way, but luckily David Schwimmer has given us something to look forward to.
The Friends and American Crime Story actor recently announced the news that we’ve all been waiting for – the Friends reunion is not only coming, it’s being filmed next month.
During an interview with Radio Andy, Schwimmer said that he will be flying out in the next few weeks to start filming with the other cast members;
“In a little over a month I’m heading out to LA, so finally.
“We’ve figured out a way to film it safely. There’s going to be a portion of it that we film outside for safety protocols.”
When host Andy Cohen pushed Schwimmer to reveal who would be hosting the Friends reunion, Schwimmer said that while he’s not allowed to reveal who it will be he can say who it won’t be.
“I can tell you that it’s not Ellen and it’s not Billy Crystal.
“I can tell you who it’s not but it would probably take a while.
Andy is it you?”
After all these years of waiting I really don’t think Friends fans will mind who is hosting the reunion, we’re just excited to see the gang back together.
According to a press release from HBO Max, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer have all committed to reprising their roles in a new special.
The reunion will be executive produced by Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, as well as original Friends producer Kevin Bright and will even shoot on the original Friends soundstage.
There has been no confirmation of when the episode will air but given that it shoots next month we’re pretty hopeful that we’ll be seeing it later this year.
