Could a major plot twist be on the way?
Game of Thrones actor, Ellie Kendrick, has dropped a subtle clue that her character may not be returning to the famous television series for its final season.
The actress who plays Meera has suggested that she is doubtful she will appear in season eight of the show leading to speculation that the show is in for a major plot twist.
The 27-year-old’s character helped Bran Stark in his quest for the Three-Eyed Raven but the television stars’ own quest to appear in the last series has been hit with a blow after she revealed she has yet to receive a call from producers inviting her back to the television set to film the new episodes.
Although the production of the last series has already begun, according to news.com.au, the star is not too confident about her place in the finale.
“I wait for the phone to ring and then I find out, but it hasn’t rung so I don’t know. I’ll find out whether I am or not at some point, but for now I haven’t been notified so I’m yet to discover.”
Kendrick also mentioned that she doubted Meera and Bran will ever reunite after saying goodbye to each other.
“It was a sad day to say farewell to young Isaac [who plays Bran] — not so young now and also very tall, which means he was so difficult to put on the sled, which I actually did, although he’s a lot taller than me.
“It was really sad on a personal level, because we had a little gan which dwindled further and further as the seasons went on.
Kendricks’ character had been the focus of a fan theory which suggested that she may have had an even bigger role to play in the show’s eighth and final series with some publications hinting that she would be unveiled as Jon Snow’s secret twin sister.
