Congrats to the happy couple. This was inevitable.
If Game of Thrones has taught us anything about love, it’s that abducting someone you fancy, insulting them and then firing three arrows into their body is the best way to win their heart.
Yep, that’s how they say ‘I love you ‘ in Westeros because Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) have got engaged. We’re delighted for the King in the North and his new wildling bride.
Just don’t invite Olly to the wedding!
Jon Snow knows something because he didn’t need to send a raven to announce the news, Harington and Leslie told the world in a very understated and classy way.
Harington has previously said that filming those Game of Thrones scenes with Leslie was his most memorable moment on the show “because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love. If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”
Awww! That wedding is going to be beautiful. After all, Game of Thrones is renowned for its fairytale weddings.
Mmm, actually…
Given the fact that the most popular phrase in Season 7 of Game of Thrones was ‘bend the knee,’ plenty of fans have had a bit of fun with the fact that Harington has actually done so.
We wish them the very best of luck as the big day approaches.

Elsewhere, this musical homage to the couple is pretty great.
