An episode that has changed the entire landscape of Game Of Thrones.
As always, SPOILER ALERT! Here are some of our favourite moments from this week’s memorable episode, ‘Home’

Right now, these are the words that every Game Of Thrones fan adores, because we all shouted “Yeeeeeeeees!” at our TV screens in unison. Ladies and gents, the 998th Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch lives. He may be bloody, but he bloody lives!
It’s a credit to this episode though that Jon’s resurrection was just one of many memorable moments in an instalment that has serious implications for the futures of House Bolton, House Greyjoy and the entire realm.
Jon’s return from the dead was the perfect end to this weeks events at Castle Black, especially since the mutinous members of the Night’s Watch revealed their true colours- cowardly, spineless and pathetic excuses for soldiers who were happy to throw down their weapons rather than fight the Wildlings.
We really did take great pleasure in Eddison Tollett reminding Alliser Thorne that Castle Black never fell to the Wildlings “until you” took command.
We hope that he rots in those cellars.

Cersei’s conversation with King Tommen about leadership, strength and the Lannsiters’ dwindling power was another reminder that the Queen Regent’s love for her children is unshakeable, even in grief, while the High Sparrow’s newly armed Faith Militant have offered us a chilling insight into an impending war in King’s Landing because “everyone of us is power and powerless, and yet together, we can overthrow an empire”.
Meanwhile in Mereen, Varys and Tyrion are quickly becoming the best double act in the shows history – a tall statement but we were offered even more proof of it.
After freeing the dragons Rhaegal and Viserion, Tyrion’s remark to Varys that “next time I have an idea like that, punch me in the face” was utterly brilliant.

The introduction of Euron Greyjoy was perfectly executed also; the warning that he’s “the storm, brother, the first storm and the last, and you’re in my way” was a clear indication that he might have his eyes set on a kingdom that’s much larger than Kingsmoot.
From the moment the first trailer was released, we suggested patricide in House Bolton, but the sheer glee that Ramsay took in waiting before delivering the chilling line that “I am Lord Bolton” was equal parts mesmeric and maniacal.

Elsewhere, Ser Davos perfectly summed up those characters with a strange obsession towards the Gods, religion and Lords of Light by saying “fuck them, fuck all of them”, but this weeks winner of the best quote was easy to pick.
Drum roll because Hodor/Wyllis actually speaks! Forget that first glimpse at Lyanna Stark, this was Hodor’s moment.
The North Remembers – Best Scene
We genuinely feel that this was one of the best Game Of Thrones episodes in a long time because there was very little filler, all the scenes pushed the plot further along.
Bran’s warging was a joy to behold and it’s a clever way of developing even more backstory, Ramsay somehow managed to surprise us even further, and the scenes at Castle Black, Mereen and the Iron Islands were more tense than a wedding that’s thrown by Walder Frey.
It can only be one scene though…

Valar Morghulis – Best Death
We loved the giant breaking down the gate at Caste Black before grabbing a mutinous Night’s Watch soldier and pounding him into the wall. Frankenmountain continues to be the scariest soldier in the realm – can’t a guy go for a pee in peace without getting his brain smashed in? – while Balon Greyjoy’s watery end was perfect.
House Bolton continue to be the most dysfunctional family in Westeros though.
Did anyone else get a sense of impending dread when Ramsay hugged Roose in what could have been the most awkward embrace of all-time?
Poor Roose, Ramsay will probably feed him to the dogs now. Then again, they might be full after feeding on Roose’s wife and newborn child.
Can we give Michael McElhatton the recognition he deserves? He really played Roose Bolton so well. Honestly one of the best. #GameOfThrones

Mother of Dragons – Best Beast Scene
Once again, Tyrion Lannister shows that he has the biggest balls in Westeros by deciding to make Dany’s dragons his allies.
Kudos to the special effects team also because the winged beasts look far more believable than they did last year.

You Know Nothing – The WTF Moment
Ok, the moment that we’ve all been waiting for Jon’s resurrection.
While we’ve never really doubted the return of the most beloved bastard in Westeros, Jon’s return does provide a few more questions though.
Does anyone else remember Beric Dondarrion? He was a knight in the Riverlands that was constantly being brought back to life by Thoros of Myr. When talking about his resurrection with Arya, Beric remarks that everytime he returns from the dead he loses part of his memory and some of who he was is chipped away with each act.
Will Jon be the same, perhaps an even darker and ruthless character like Lady Stoneheart from the books?
George RR Martin even spoke about the issue stating:
“I do think that if you’re bringing a character back, that a character has gone through death, that’s a transformative experience. . . My characters who come back from death are worse for wear. In some ways, they’re not even the same characters anymore. The body may be moving, but some aspect of the spirit is changed or transformed, and they’ve lost something.
There could be some darkness behind Jon’s dead eyes.
Stealing The Throne – This Week’s Best Character
It has to be Melisandre because she brought Jon back from the dead. Do we forgive her for Princess Shireen now?
