A fairytale story needs its heroines as much as its heroes.
Filmmaker Adrian Butchart is making a movie about Jamie Vardy’s incredible rise through the game from non-league nobody to table-topping titan, taking Leicester within touching distance of a sensational and historic Premier League win.
There will be no shortage of heroes in this incredible tale – and England striker Vardy has already had several big names touted to fill his boots on screen, including, Robert Pattison, Zac Efron and One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson.
Claudio Ranieri, the man who has taken Leicester from relegations battlers to England’s top team, already cheekily suggested he’d love to have Hollywood legend Robert De Niro to play him.
Ex-Wimbledon hardman turned big screen baddie Vinnie Jones is even being lined up for the role of former Foxes boss Nigel Pearson.
But Butchart, who is expected to release his film in 2017, looks to be lining up one of the strongest female leads out there to play Vardy’s girlfriend Rebekah Nicholson in the story.

He said: “In a male-dominated story, it’s important to have a strong female lead. Becky’s a combination of beauty and inner strength.”
The Mirror claim that Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke is being signed up to play the role of the former Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town man’s fiancée.
The British actress, who was named ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ last year, plays Daenerys Targaryen in the blockbuster TV series.
Clarke is arguably the most recognisable figure in Game of Thrones for her role as the strong and domineering ‘Khaleesi’.
