Game of Thrones is back… sort of.
We’ve been waiting… and waiting… and waiting… and now the first trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8 has arrived and, well, it doesn’t give much away.
The final season of the HBO drama s perhaps the most eagerly awaited finale in television history so they literally could have put out anything – anything at all – and people would have leapt to all kinds of conclusions.
They could have put out a video of Sam Allardyce drinking a pint of wine in a Chinese restaurant and people would be claiming that there were hits from season 1 onwards that Big Sam would become Tyrion’s drinking buddy and together they would dominate Westeros for all eternity.
So not only does the trailer not shed much light on what we can expect from the new season, but we are all still so in the dark about the release date for the final season that even the Lord of Light would struggle to put a date on it.
Anyway, the new trailer is here and it’s basically just a load of ice being met by a load of fire and fuck knows what any of that means.
Still, everyone seems very excited while having very little to add to the predicament.
