Two years of production and Game of Thrones still included a Starbucks cup in the latest episode

The Long Night definitely wasn't too dark and there is a Starbs drive-thru in Winterfell

The Game of Thrones showrunners have been on the receiving end of a fair amount of abuse recently.

A cinematographer on the show actually came out to defend episode three of season eight, ‘The Long Night,’ after it received an avalanche of criticism for being too dark to watch.

I think it was a defence mechanism against torrenting and illegal streams but we’ll save that fan theory for Reddit.

So it is not ideal timing for the show that in the most recent fourth episode a Starbucks cup was seemingly left in shot, causing people to rightly wonder: what on Earth were the showrunners doing for two years to make only six episodes and yet forget to turn up the brightness and also remove coffee cups from set?
