Coldplay are the first headline act to be announced for Glastonbury Festival 2016.
It has been officially confirmed that the British band will play at the Pyramid Stage on Sunday, June 26.
Their Glastonbury performance will be the band’s only festival show of their A Head Full Of Dreams Tour.
This will be their fourth time headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, having previously performed in 2002, 2005 and 2011.
It also makes them the first artists to ever headline the festival four times, with their 2011 set being voted ‘Top Glastonbury Moment’ by BBC Radio listeners.
It comes after Chris Martin and Co. played the half time show at Super Bowl 50 with Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
Other rumoured names to headline the festival are Muse and Adele, with bookies also tipping the likes of Foo Fighters, Oasis, Daft Punk and Radiohead as favourite to appear.
Glastonbury 2016 will take place at Worthy Farm over the week of June 22-26.
