Season two will set up a story arc that’s going to run and run.
Right now, every fan of Stranger Things is only thinking about one thing. How f**king cool is that gigantic spider monster that we all saw in the Season 2 trailer?
Seriously, that thing looked like it could beat up Godzilla, Cthulhu and King Kong with just one of its tentacles.
Let’s leave the Upside Down for a moment, and while we’re still a few months away from returning to Hawkins, Indiana, the show’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer are already planning for the future beyond Season 2.
During an interview with Collider, the brothers have said that Stranger Things will continue for “more than three seasons.”
In fact, it’s likely that we’ll all be treated to  four or five seasons of the superb show.
Regarding the upcoming season, Shaun Levy has previously stated that things are going to get even darker for Eleven, Mike, Lucas and Dustin. “Will Byers is very much at the centre of several intersecting challenges and threats in season two. And I think overall the kind of forces of evil that are inherent in season 2 make that Demogorgon look quaint in retrospect,”he said.
One of the criticisms of Netflix’s shows is that fans are left lingering for too long between seasons. Well, this isn’t going to be the case for Stranger Things because the producers and crew are well aware of the insatiable demand that fans of the show have.
“It’s funny that you read these comments and people are mad about the wait, and I’m like ‘I’m gonna die!’ I can’t do anymore for my own sanity. And also it’s about quality control too. I think it makes a big difference. So we’re trying, but if anything I want more time not less time. I think it’s going to be worth it. What is it, 15 months? We’ll try to stick to that,” Matt Duffer said.
Regarding the upcoming season, we’re told that the events will “lay the groundwork for what would be the arc for the rest of the show.”
