Holy Sith! The Last Jedi is going to be the longest Star Wars film ever

Paul Moore

Amazing news.

It’s less that one month until The Last Jedi arrives in cinemas and with the news that Rian Johnson will be developing a “brand-new Star Wars trilogy,” it’s a good indicator that Episode VIII is going to deliver.

All the talk in recent weeks has been on Porgs and the fact that princes William and Harry will be appearing as Stormtroopers, but as the premiere looms large, fans can’t wait to head back to the galaxy that’s far, far away.

Well, the new adventure is going to be 150 minutes long, including the credits. By the beard of a Bantha! Two and a half hours of Star Wars! That’s enough time to turn to the Dark side of the Force and return.

In case you’re wondering, this means that The Last Jedi will be the longest Star Wars film in the saga – beating Revenge of the Sith’s 140-minute runtime.

Truth be told, we’d happily dedicate an hour to that eagerly awaited scene as the Knights of Ren attack Luke’s Jedi temple. we’re going to see it right, right?!?!

Well, there’s good news for all you stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herders because the wait is nearly over.

The Last Jedi is released on December 14 in the UK.
