Back in the early 1990s there were few bigger draws than Guns N’ Roses, but frontman Axl Rose had an obsession that would occasionally get in the way of some of their live shows. No, not drugs or alcohol – the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

According to Alternative Nation, Rose was late for the start of a gig in Florida because he was watching live-action TMNT sequel The Secret of the Ooze, and the DJ relaid this to the owner in fairly blunt terms.
“Axl’s management said he was watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, and that Axl’s attention was 100% on the movie and couldn’t be bothered.”
When you’re the king, you can do anything.
