Netflix knows the exact moment you became addicted to your favourite TV series.
The streaming service has conducted some serious research into the first seasons of shows both original to Netflix itself and others that debuted on other networks.
It came up with some fascinating details. And remember, the algorithm never lies (or so we’re told).
In Breaking Bad, the moment where lust turned to love came the exact moment that Jesse’s ceiling failed to hold the rotting remains of Krazy 8 in episode two; in Orange Is the New Black, it came down to Crazy Eyes and the throwing of a pie; in Dexter, the moment he relived his first ever kill was the moment people were drawn in en masse.
Every single show has one thing in common – nobody gets hooked on a pilot episode, something to remember next time you decide something isn’t worth your time.
