It appears that one of the major cliffhangers from Game of Thrones has been answered

Yeah, spoilers are coming.

Much like the people in Westeros whose loyalties are divided between Team Jonerys and Team Cersei, some folk like spoilers and others don’t. Consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.

Consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.

Seriously, stop reading if you want to know absolutely nothing about Season 8.

As the cast reassembles in Belfast for the first roundtable script reading, all the pieces are coming together as the world’s greatest show starts production on its final season.

We already knew that the remarkably talented duo of Miguel Sapochnik (Battle of the Bastards and The Winds of Winter) and David Nutter (The Rains of Castamere) would be returning behind the lens, but with Liam Cunningham confirming that they’re going to be “filming right up until the summer,” there’s still an awful lot to wrap up in just six episodes.

We’ve already stated our belief that Tormund will survive the Night King’s attack on The Wall, but in recent weeks, Kristofer Hivju (Tormund) hasn’t been so convinced.

“I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. Somehow, I don’t believe it. Somehow, it looks like it’s a fall you can’t survive. But people have asked me if characters like Beric and Tormund die, why wouldn’t they show that? And then, in another way, it’s a horrible way to end a season, by killing two people and showing that death. So they kept it in the air. But still, I don’t know! He may be dead,” he said.

Well, Hivju was recently spotted in Belfast and with the cast gathering to run through their lines and the plot for the final six episodes, it’s safe to assume that everyone’s favourite “mad fucker” will be alive for Season 8.

Thank god that there’s still a chance for him and Brienne to make those “great big monsters.”

That also looks an awful lot like Dolorous Edd (Ben Crompton) in this photo too.

The watchers on the Wall live on.
