Hopes that Rush Hour 4 will soon be made are burning a little brighter after Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker were pictured holding up four of their fingers in a recent photo.
The two actors played the lead roles in all three of the previous films, none of which I have seen since childhood and therefore which I can only assume remain some the greatest pieces of cinema ever produced. The first movie came out in 1998 and was followed up in 2001 and again in 2007.
It’s been a long wait for the fourth instalment in the franchise to be released, though. In 2017, Chan said he had been turning down scripts for new Rush Hour films since 2010, but had finally found one that was decent enough to give the green light.
Although it’s likely that the new film would be directed by someone other than Brett Ratner, who was responsible for the previous three, as he has been accused by multiple women of sexual harassment and misconduct.
