She has opened up about the scene

Jennifer Lawrence has admitted she ‘accidentally flashed’ film crew on the set of Red Sparrow.

The 34-year-old is known for being one of the most honest celebrities in Hollywood after previously admitting to sleeping with a film director and detailing some of the mistakes she has made in her career so far.

In a recent interview the Hunger Games actress discussed what it was like working with director Francis Lawrence on Red Sparrow and shared details of her little on-set mishap.

The 2018 film sees Lawrence play Dominika Egorova, a former ballerina turned Russian spy, forced into difficult situations where she uses her body as a weapon.

Her character is coerced into the dangerous world by her uncle, Russian intelligence officer, Ivan Egorov, played by Matthias Schoenaerts.

In one scene, Lawrence’s character is ordered to strip in front of her peers to demonstrate the power of her body, highlighting the psychological manipulation and dehumanisation she faced as part of her training.

Speaking at a press conference Lawrence told press about the reality of getting nude in front of film crew: “The reality of shooting them is so different from watching.

“With Francis, he’s almost a paternal figure to me and the camera guys I’ve know since I was little.

“It was almost like being in a nude house, like those families who get naked in front of each other.

“It felt like that. Like, I accidentally flashed the camera guys and they were like, ‘Oh my god!’

“You create a sense of privacy. You only have the people that need to be there and that footage only goes to me and the editor — it doesn’t go to the studio, it doesn’t go to the producers. So they feel protected in that way.”

Lawrence recently filmed her first fully-nude scene as she played the role of Maddie Barker, a bartender and Uber driver in the movie No Hard Feelings.

Struggling to keep up with the payments on her mum’s house her character responds to an advert from a couple of parents who are looking for someone to ‘date’ their 19-year-old son.

She told Variety: “Everyone in my life and my team is doing the right thing and going, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure?’ I didn’t even have a second thought. It was hilarious to me.”

Lawrence is currently working on the film Die, My Love where she is also acting as a producer as well as starring in the film based on the novel by Ariana Harwicz.
