The jury will reconvene on Tuesday, but Johnny Depp is touring around England
Johnny Depp has been criticised for going on tour around England despite the verdict of his defamation trial against Amber Heard set to be delivered any day now.
In recent days, the 58-year-old has been delighting fans by performing with musician Jeff Beck at gigs.
He made his first appearance on the tour on Sunday in Sheffield at the City Hall. He then followed this up with a second appearance on Monday in London.
And his fans have absolutely lapped it up, posing for pictures with the Pirates of the Caribbean star.
But some have criticised the actor for his apparent lack of concern over the outcome of his multi-million dollar defamation trial with Amber Heard.
One critic wrote on Twitter: “yeah, performing two nights in a row definitely shows that depp is traumatised by this trial. definitely. not.”

“Trolls: ‘he’s moving on with his life, she should too.’ She can’t. She has to wait for a verdict. He’s on tour,” wrote journalist Eve Barlow.
“It wasn’t about the verdict for him. It was about the opportunity of a trial to further his abuse. Whatever the verdict, he continues freely. She does not.”

Meanwhile in another tweet, Barlow mocked the idea that Depp has become a victim of cancel culture because of the trial.
Meanwhile Amber Heard doesn't have PTSD… Wake up. #IStandWithAmberHeard

Addressing the negative social media backlash Heard has experienced throughout the trial, a third shared: “He’s on stage while she fears for her life….”

In the final days of the trial, Heard told the court that she receives hundreds of death threats a day and that people “want to put my baby in the microwave.”
But others have defended Depp for his appearances on the tour, saying that he probably had it planned, and it may be helping the actor to deal with the events of the last two months.
This tweet by @Eve_Barlow is so ignorant of understanding as to how PTSD presents itself! If music was one of the things since childhood that helped Johnny Depp, what better way to NOT obsess about a pending verdict than to go on tour with a band & his guitar?!?! https://t.co/ytPxnFsX18

The defamation trial came to a close on Friday, and Heard is reportedly still in Virginia awaiting the verdict.
The jury did not reach a decision on Friday and Monday (May 30) was a bank holiday in the US, so they will reconvene on Tuesday.
