It’s quite the change
Lady Gaga, remember her? She was everywhere circa 2009 – ‘Paparazzi’, ‘Poker Face’, ‘Just Dance’ – but she died off a bit. I mean she was there but she wasn’t fully there, she wasn’t as big as she had been. But now she’s back – not in music, but in a film. What a turn of events.
She is set to star in Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut A Star Is Born, which premiered at Cinemacon in April to rave reviews, with the film’s trailer released recently.
In the film, Bradley Cooper plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers—and falls in love with—struggling artist Ally (Gaga).
The synopsis read: “She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer… until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.”
The trailer shows Gaga looking unrecognisable with brown hair and minimal make-up. Watch it below:
