The baby has finally arrived
Lil Nas X has shared footage of himself ‘giving birth’ to his debut album Montero from his hospital bed.
The star first teased ‘pregnancy’ bump photos on social media earlier this month, which showed the 21-year-old cradling his as-yet-unborn child.
“BABY MONTERO IS HERE!!!” the star tweeted, sharing a video of himself being rushed through hospital corridors and taken into a labour ward where two male nurses help him with his contractions.
He eventually gives birth to a Montero vinyl, which he cradles and kisses as his newborn.

Montero features collaborations with pop-music royalty, including Elton John, Miley Cyrus, Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion.
The artwork for the LP and its videos is set in a fictional utopia called Montero, and in the video for ‘Call Me By Your Name’, the album’s first single, the musician shocked the right-wing media by sliding down a stripper’s pole into hell and grinding on satan.
And in another video from the album for an uptempo track called ‘What I Want’, Nas has hot steamy shower sex in a public locker room.
As the 15-track album dropped at midnight in the US, collaborator Miley Cryus tweeted “Congrats on baby Montero!
“You’ll always be my little baby!” she added. “Thank you for having me apart of your debut album!”
Lil Nas, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, had a meteoric hit with ‘Old Town Road’ in 2019, the same year that he came out as gay and began to redefine what it meant to be a country musician for a modern era.
In the years since, he’s become pop’s poster boy for LGBTQ representation. He’s outspoken on social media against his critics, and has turned up to red carpet events wearing pink cowboy hats and floor-length dresses.
