Seth Rogen, Ricky Gervais and Elizabeth Banks have some views on Tom Hardy’s new film
With the release of the latest Venom trailer, fans finally got to see what they wanted – Tom Hardy’s transformation into the alien symbiote. Given the fact that Hardy is one of the finest actors around, it’s easy to see why film fans are incredibly excited to see his take on the famous villain/anti-hero, but Elizabeth Banks had a unique take on the latest trailer.
The star of The Hunger Games and Scrubs thinks that Venom’s tongue is ‘unique’ and given the fact that she has 2.35 million followers, her remarks didn’t go unnoticed.
One person that did see the funny side of Banks’ comments was her co-star of Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Seth Rogen.
Of course, Rogen is something of an expert when it comes to making dick jokes – he wrote that epic scene in Superbad when Jonah Hill’s character just couldn’t stop drawing dicks – so we think his opinion is valid.
What unfolds next though is an example of why Twitter can be so weird and wonderful.
Looks like he’s eating a dick. https://t.co/CwvcPEAMeJ

In my version of the movie, he would be.

I bet this is what it would have been like if Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh had chatted on Twitter.

Anyways, with regards to the plot, not much is known about the film but it looks set to mirror the popular Lethal Protector storyline from the comics. In that comic-book, Venom goes up against the Life Foundation, a group that pushes the Venom symbiote to spawn several more variations.
Once bonded with the symbiotes they become Agony, Phage, Scream, Riot, and Lasher, as hell breaks loose. Peter Parker has been confirmed for a minor role – not as Spider-Man though -and over the last few days, various rumours have said that Woody Harrelson will be playing Carnage.
Here’s the trailer along with some of the other details.
Starring: Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Jenny Slate, Reid Scott, Scott Haze, Woody Harrelson.
Directed by: Ruben Fleischer
Irish release date: 5 October 2018
