This evening, Croatia – Denmark went to extra time. After a thrilling first five minutes, it turned into a slightly turgid contest. But you’ve watch it, it’s the World Cup. And in the 2018 World Cup so far, something mad and crazy keeps happening when you least expect it.
Only, the match kicked off at 7pm UK time. Which means extra time started about 9pm.
9pm is when Love Island starts on ITV2.

Sure, we were all enjoying Spain going out on penalties earlier, but all that did was delay an episode of Question of Sport. This is serious.
Extra time was great fun earlier, but now it’s going to interfere with Love Island and that is a bloody issue.
