Well, we’re officially creeped out.
We used to have fond memories of Barney the Dinosaur – mainly because it was on RTÉ2 for the majority of our childhood.
Still, we sang along to the songs, bought the toys and played the games.
However, the man who played the infamous dinosaur has had a major career change since the 90s, and we’re going to admit that it has given us the creeps.
American actor David Joyner, 52, who played the character is now a… ‘tantric sex guru’.
The foundation of all our existence? LOVE!
Live it, Breathe it, Speak it, Stand on it, Share it!

As you do.
He told Vice that playing the adventurous dinosaur was helpful to the career he has now. Em….
“The energy I brought up [while] in the costume is based on the foundation of tantra, which is love. Everything stems, grows, and evolves from love,” he said.
His website states that he only has female clients, charges $350 (€280) for a four-hour session, and he doesn’t believe in using condoms…
He thinks protection “blocks the energy.” Oh… and he meets his clients through Tinder.
A sex therapist and psychiatrist working at the University of California told Vice that he does not agree with David’s teachings as they are “outrageous and far outside the standard of care. For him not to use condoms is medically unethical and irresponsible.”
We’ll never look at Barney the same again.
