It’s fair to say Mark Wright turned more than a few heads after his performance in last weekend’s Soccer Aid match.
The former TOWIE star opened the scoring in the charity match with a thunderous left-footed free kick that had more than an air of Roberto Carlos about it.
In case you missed, have a watch. This one was a bit special.
In case you missed it, @MarkWright_ with an absolute worldie from 30+ yards! Wow! #SoccerAid https://t.co/xYJdssVqyf

The 29-year-old – who actually had semi-professional spells at a number of London’s elite clubs in his youth – was so impressive that he’s apparently been tapped up by both Jose Mourinho and Sam Allardyce, who managed the England side in the game.
According to Dan Wootton of The Sun, the new Manchester United manager has offered Wright to train at the club’s Carrington training ground for the first two weeks of July.
It’s obviously hoped that Wayne Rooney, Chris Smalling and Marcus Rashford won’t be around to admire his skills, as England could still be competing at Euro 2016 then.
“Mark has always fancied himself as a decent footballer,” a source told the same newspaper.
“But he didn’t expect this amount of interest after Soccer Aid.
“Jose came up to him after the game and asked him if he was free to head up to United’s training ground to see how he gets on among some professionals.
“Mark is now making sure he can fit it into his schedule but he is very keen.”
But the interest didn’t stop there. It seems Wright received an attractive counter-offer from the Sunderland manager. Big Sam reportedly called the reality TV star’s agent dad – who, brilliantly, is called Big Mark – and told him he was interested in what would surely be one of the most bizarre transfers of all time.
It would appear that he’s not against the idea, either.
I wouldn't mind, let's just say that much !! https://t.co/VnttvrnfBj
