First Spider-Man and now Black Panther, we’re struggling to keep up with Captain America: Civil War.
It has been revealed the star-studded Marvel movie will see Black Panther, played by Get On Up actor Chadwick Boseman, take centre stage. It will feature the character so much that Marvel boss Kevin Feige is reluctant to say too much about his role.
He told Birth.Movies.Death: “It is a role that he is still in the beginning phases of taking on, it’s a mantle he is only beginning to take on because his father is older.
“The reason we introduced him in Civil War is because we needed a third party. We needed fresh eyes who wasn’t embedded with the Avengers and who has a very different point of view than either Tony or Steve.
“We said: ‘We need somebody like Black Panther… why don’t we just use Black Panther?’ That’s how it went in the development process.”
Tom Holland, the young actor from West London, announced as the new Spider-Man, is to feature alongside the likes of Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr and Scarlett Johansson in the much-anticipated new Marvel movie, which will also include Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany and Jeremy Renner.
