BREAKING NEWS
We all scoff at celebrity news, don’t we? Ugh, that’s not news, we’ll tell ourselves. But you’re reading this because you’re morbidly fascinated, aren’t you? Yes. So, let’s just get on with it, eh?
The Spice Girls have not been truly relevant since the 1990s, but their legacy in British pop music lives on, which explains why we’re all so interested in what they’re up to 20 years after their peak.
For years, rumours have persisted about a lesbian fling between Mel B and Geri Halliwell, two members of the girlband. But those rumours went unresolved, questions went unanswered, mainly because it’s none of our business.
But on Piers Morgan’s TV show Life Stories, Mel B decided to set the record straight, as she revealed that the pair did indeed enjoy a short fling.
“She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband. But it’s a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it,” Mel B explained.
Asked whether they were in love, Mel B insisted they were just friends.
“We were best friends. It just happened. Have you ever done that?” she asked.
Piers Morgan then did a bit more of his usual nonsense before Mel B said: “I’ve said it now. All done. She’s going to kill me and so’s her husband. She’s not that posh now, is she?”
The former popstar was promoting her book, entitled Brutally Honest, on the show, and thus couldn’t really get away without being brutally honest.
So there you have it. Mel B and Geri Halliwell had some sexual fun once. Let’s resume our lives now.
