Nella Rose hints she’ll quit I’m A Celeb after brutal row with Fred Sirieix

‘The fact I’ve lasted in the jungle for this long is astonishing’

By now, I’m sure we’ve all seen the huge row between Nella Rose and Fred Sirieix.

In the episode which aired on Tuesday night, Fred left Nella feeling “disrespected” and “offended” after saying to her that he’s old enough to be her dad.

Nella has previously discussed her father passing away in 2020 and her mother dying when she was just 19.

To refresh your memory, Nella explained in Tuesday’s episode: “Last night after dinner Fred made a comment about him basically how he could be my dad.

“I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away. I didn’t say anything about it last night because I was kind of just annoyed about it.

“So I slept on it and I kind of thought about it and I was just like, this is not the kind of person I want to be around.”

As Fred continued speaking to Nella that morning, she blanked him before eventually telling him why she was upset.

She told him: “Can you leave me alone?”

Fred said: “OK”.

He then asked: “What have I done to you?”, to which Nella replied: “You know that my mum’s dead. And you know that my dad’s dead.”

She continued: “You know that, right? I’ve come to find out that every time I wanna get creative around the fire, or I want to have something my way, my own food that I am entitled to, my way, you tend to get an attitude, right? So yesterday, when I wanted to burn fat that you were going to throw away anyways, it’s not even something that we needed to survive in camp, you turned around to me, with an attitude and said, ‘You know I could be your dad, right?’.

“To me, I don’t care how you said it to me, it’s disrespectful and I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to be around you. I only allow people to disrespect me once. You hurt my feelings.

“I was very upset… you keep trying to speak to me when I don’t want to speak to you. I would rather stay away from you, I don’t want to eat your food, I don’t want to talk to you. We can just live, you live on that side, I live on this side.”

Fred quite quickly replied that he was sorry, saying: “I am so sorry. Can I just say? First of all, I am sorry I’ve offended you. I am unaware that you felt offended. I am unaware that what I said would lead to this conversation, I only said that in a way because I am older than you, I am 51 and you’re 26.”

Nella still wasn’t having it though, saying: “I’m not stupid, you’re not going to little girl me, you’re not.”

The whole thing went on and on and on, and now in last night’s episode, it appears things could be getting too much for Nella, who has hinted that she might be leaving the jungle for good.

Talking to Grace Dent, Nella said: “I’ve never, ever in my life started something and finished it. Ever. I always quit, or I always sign on short term or if I don’t like it I can leave… this is the one thing I said I’m going to try and stick it through but I can already see myself… if I get in my head too much…”

Nella continued, saying: “Whenever I feel uncomfortable, whenever I feel sad I do tend to leave. I do tend to not carry things through if I feel uncomfortable. So the fact I’ve lasted in the jungle for this long is astonishing.”

Nella continued, telling Grace: “I used to have so much discipline but that was when I was in a bad space. Lack of self discipline got me from a size 12 to a size 20. Literally my dad passed, I locked myself in the house for two months, I drank every single day and ate every single day and I gained it all and it was pandemic.

“If Jamie left yesterday I would have been right behind her… I’m leaving. I just don’t want to be the first.”
