Hell yeah!
Given the fact that binge-watching is now a popular term that’s used on a daily basis, it’s clear that Netflix have changed the way that we consume media. With this in mind, it should come as no surprise to see the online streaming giant commissioning and acquiring TV shows that are designed to consume your life.
La Casa de Papel – or Money Heist as it’s more commonly known –Â has now become “the most watched non-English series on Netflix ever” and given the plethora of foreign-language shows available on Netflix, that’s no mean feat.
Well, there’s even better news for fans of the show because “after the global success of Part 1 and Part 2 of Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), The Professor will develop new heists that will be unveiled in 2019.”
As stated previously, we’re massive fans of the heist drama because it’s the rarest of things, an incredibly addictive show that will get you hooked after 5 minutes.
Without giving too much away, here’s the plot.
A mysterious man, who goes by the name of The Professor, is planning the biggest heist in history. In order to carry out the ambitious plan, he recruits a gang of eight people with certain abilities who have nothing to lose. The goal is to enter the Royal Mint of Spain and print 2.4 billion euros. In order to do this, they need eleven days of seclusion, during which they will have to deal with sixty-seven hostages and the elite forces of the police.
The first two seasons are currently available to watch on Netflix but for fans of the show, Season 3 is coming and we’ve been given the first look.
It’s clear that audiences are becoming more diverse and eclectic, but if you’re looking for a mystery that will melt your brain and send you down a YouTube wormhole at 3:27 am, then Dark is just the thing for you.
When local children in the fictional German town of Winden start disappearing, it brings to light the fractured relationships, double lives, and dark past of four families living there, revealing a mystery that spans three generations.
Beginning in 2019, the story soon spreads to include storylines in 1986 and 1953 via time travel, as certain characters of the show’s core families slowly grow aware of the existence of a wormhole in the cave system beneath the local nuclear power plant, under the management of the influential Tiedemann family.
Yeah, it’s absolutely bonkers but by the end of the season, you’ll be trying to piece all of the stories together in an effort to solve the mystery. Trust us, it’s one of those shows where you scour every corner of the Internet for articles, theories and clues.
Well, the plot for Dark will thicken because Season 2 will start production in Berlin on June 25th and it’s going to consist of eight episodes.
Here are the first few images from Season 2 of Dark.
