Hey, You. It’s time again
Netflix have finally confirmed the release date for the fourth season of You in a gripping promo video.
The teaser introduces a nearly-new cast ahead of the show’s relocation to London, thanks to main character Joe Goldberg needing to run away thanks to his, erm, extra-curriculum activities.
The fourth season of the psychological thriller series will be split into two parts; the first will premiere on February 10, 2023, with the second part landing exactly a month later on March 10.
The teaser, which was released as part of Netflix’s TUDUM event, shows Penn Badgley playing Joe reveal his new secret identity after a period of “refinement”, revealing himself to be Professor Jonathan Moore.
By coming to the UK, Goldberg has been able to “bury his past”, with the character then revealing what he will get up to in London.
Hello, You. Joe is back — but this time, please call him Professor Jonathan Moore. Careful Marienne… you never know who is lurking in London. Season 4 Part 1 premieres Feb 10, Part 2 premieres March 10. #TUDUM pic.twitter.com/xhToEyKolD

In a voice-over he says: “This time around, I’m focusing on academia and instruction, while keeping my typical extracurricular activities strictly professional.”
He adds: “I made time to exchange ideas with like-minded colleagues. Unfortunately, with friends in high places, then usually come others attempting to climb that social ladder. So, they end up falling – or shall I say pushed – to their social death. The question, by who?”
However, we’re also given a glimpse of what could be some new love interests as well a return of Marienne.
Eagle-eyed fans had been expecting a return for Marienne after they reckon they’d spotted her in a background in one of the closing scenes.
In the final few minutes of the You series finale we saw Joe stalking the streets of Paris, as he believes Marienne may have fled back to her hometown after Love’s warning.

Those who were watching particularly closet, may have spotted Joe walk right past his prey, with one viewer believing Marienne can be spotted on a moped just before the credits roll.
The show, which is based on Caroline Kepnes’ series of novels, will move to London following the events at the end of the third season. The first season was set in New York, before moving to Los Angeles in the second and third seasons.
Alongside a new setting comes a new cast, with The White Lotus’s Lukas Gage, former EastEnders actress Tilly Keeper and Taskmaster’s Charlotte Ritchie all joining the show.
Ritchie will play Kate in the upcoming episodes, with the character described as an “icy bitch”.
