The controversial six-part series was released on 29 December, 2017.

Black Mirror, the British science-fiction series created by Charlie Brooker, now boasts the title of one of Netflix’s most popular series to date.

The controversial show is made up of four seasons with six episodes in each. Brooker’s creation provides a social commentary on modern issues, especially focusing on mankind’s dependency on technology.

Black Mirror’s hotly-anticipated fourth season dropped just before the new year and has been receiving rave reviews ever since.

On Friday afternoon, Netflix released video showcasing a behind-the-scenes look of the anthropological show featuring interviews with Brooker, Annabel Jones and Arkangel director Jodie Foster.

The show’s creator reveals what it was that inspired him to create the hugely popular series.

“What I felt was lacking was those one-off shows you could catch late at night and go ‘What the hell was that?'”

Brooker goes on to confirm that Season Four continues the show’s long-running themes of apprehension and instability.

“The show does reflect a kind of gnawing sense of unease at the march of technology,” he said.

No plans for a fifth series of the show have been announced just yet, but, when asked about it, both Brooker and executive producer Annabel Jones have said: “We would love to do it.”
