‘The concept of this is beyond f*cked up’
Netflix viewers have been hooked by a new horror thriller on the platform, with the film shooting to number one within days of its release.
With Halloween this week, many of you are no doubt looking for a scary film to get in the spirit of this time of year.
Netflix is already home to some pretty top-tier horrors – including the scariest move ever according to science – and now it’s added a new original all about a pretty horrific premise.
Don’t Move is the latest release from director Sam Raimi, and follows a woman called Iris, played by Yellowstone actor Kelsey Asbille, who is being hunted down by a killer in the middle of a forest.
The twist? Her hunter has injected her with a substance that will gradually cause her body to shut down over the course of 20 minutes.
Set in the first of Big Sur, California, Iris is grieving the loss of her son, Mateo, when she encounters a man called Richard, played by America Horror Story’s FinnWittrock.
He comforts her, before tasing tying her up just before she tries to go home. When Iris wakes up, Richard tells her he’s injected her with a substance that will paralyse her within 20 minutes, and will even stop her from being able to use her voice.
Iris finds herself in a race against time to find help whilst Richard tracks her down to make her his latest victim.
Clocking in at a relatively short 92 minutes, Don’t Move has proved to be a thrilling hit with viewers, rising to number one in Netflix’s chart.
