We’d like to see it, and we’d like to see it now
Netflix has had some massive hitters when it comes to documentaries over the past while, and very few have captured the imagination of audiences more than Tiger King.
What starts off as a story about the ownership and treatment of big cats in an American zoo quickly turns into a story about drugs, romance and (alleged) murder. It’s bizarre. It’s brilliant, and if you haven’t seen it, you definitely should.
But if you have seen it, and you’re craving even more crazy Joe Exotic content, then we’ve got some good news for you.
The one and only Nicolas Cage is set to play Joe in a new eight-part series. Yes, Nic Cage himself.
"Not the bees! Aaargh! They're in my eyes! My eyes!"
This is the evolution of Nicolas Cage going full Nicolas Cage, from 1983 – 2019. That's 36 years of Maximum Cage. pic.twitter.com/3wFY4iOaXr

The Oscar-winner is set to star in a new series that aims to explore how Joe Schreibvogel became Joe Exotic, and how he lost himself to a character of his own creation.
We’re pretty sure Carole Baskin will get a mention in there too.
Variety reports that there is no name or confirmed release date for the show, and that production hasn’t even begun yet what with the global pandemic currently ongoing around us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start getting excited about what is surely going to be eight episodes of chaotic gold.
