As we’re well aware, Noel Gallagher isn’t afraid of ripping into other stars and musicians.
The rock icon who has previously started feuds with Eminem and Alex Turner, has now launched a bullet into One Direction’s Harry Styles, saying he lacks ‘spirit’.
When quizzed about fame and peers, the 48-year-old star, known as ‘The Chief’ to his pals, says popularity isn’t judged by talent any more.
Speaking to Esquire magazine, Noel said: “I’ll tell you what’s wrong. Fame’s wasted on these c***s today.
“Harry Styles has got nothing to say for himself – nothing. ‘You alright, mate?’ ‘Uhhh.’ That’s it. The gig will never die because you can’t download it. You can’t download spirit.”
The former Oasis frontman’s attacks didn’t stop there as he also hit out at Harry’s former bandmate Zayn Malik for leaving the boy band in favour of a normal life.
He added: “For the likes of me who persevered from an early age to play the f**king guitar and write songs and practice and practice and practice, I’ll be fine. God help Zayn Malik.”
However, not everyone was in the firing line, had nothing by kind words for rapper Kanye West.
“You watch him on the MTV Awards and you think, ‘You can f**king stay, you’re alright.’ ”
Kanye for President, Noel for Prime Minister?
