When you organise an old school reunion there’s always that one mate who can’t f**king make it.
It’s always some lame excuses like ‘my cat just died’ or ‘there’s no-one to look after my five kids’.
But there’s one friends reunion that you just don’t miss out on. The actual Friends reunion.
The internet has been going absolutely crazy over it as news broke that Joey, Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler and Phoebe would be getting the old gang back together for a special one-off show.
Only one of the iconic 90s TV sextet has got prior commitments and probably isn’t going to be able to make it. Chandler Bing, we’re looking at you.
Matthew Perry is set to star in a play in London in February. So there won’t actually be a full reunion with all the cast after all. He will probably feature in a pre-recorded segment, but he can’t be there with the other five.
A rep for the actor told Daily News, “Matthew will not be attending as he is in London in rehearsals for his play, ‘The End of Longing,’ which begins previews on February 2 at the Playhouse Theatre. NBC executives were aware of this prior to their TCA announcement yesterday.”
When NBC made the announcement about the reunion chairman Bob Greenblatt did mention, “I’m hoping all six of them will be all in the same room at the same time, but I’m not sure if we can logistically pull that off.”
We live in hope that he can still make it in between rehearsals.
