Good news, Ghostbusters fans. Ahead of the forthcoming film, one of the original cast members has revealed they are set to return.
While we’re already very excited to see Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig lead the new Ghostbusters, there’s always room for a familiar face.
Dan Aykroyd — aka Ray Stanz from the original films — has tweeted to inform fans he has a cameo in the upcoming reboot.
He’s since deleted the tweet, but now the cat is out the bag his agent has confirmed his involvement.
Comingsoon.net have posted details of Akroyd’s cameo and if you want to remain spoiler-free then stop reading now…
‘Aykroyd is cameoing as a Cabbie in the new film and he was on set filming his scene last night,’ they report.
‘The scene featured Kristen Wiig attempting to hail Aykroyd’s cab. Aykroyd throws out the iconic line, “I ain’t afraid of no ghosts.” And drives away with Wiig yelling something along the lines of “That’s a double negative! That means you are afraid of ghosts!’
July 2016 can’t come soon enough.
