‘This can be humiliating.’
Charlotte Hawkins drew a lot of attention after her Strictly Come Dancing performance on Saturday night. Unfortunately, it wasn’t all good. The Good Morning Britain presenter danced the Cha-Cha-Cha with her partner Brendan Cole.
The judges didn’t seem too impressed, and neither did the general public. Even Charlotte’s GMB co-star Piers Morgan tore into her live on air.
Well done on your #Strictly performance @CharlotteHawkns 💃 – don't listen to @piersmorgan 😜 pic.twitter.com/8yJ4zbI1oE

With all the nasty comments being said, her partner Brendan got annoyed. He took to Twitter to rant about how hard they had worked or the show and asked people to cut them some slack.
In a thread of tweets he said:
“I have a lot to say about last Saturday… here goes…
It was definitely a tough night at the office & maybe the scores were just! What I object to is belitling [sic]Â someone who has worked hard and is clearly upset at the situation. I have no time for negativity when someone is down!
It was obvious that things hadn’t gone to plan and at that time you can be honest but constructively positive!
This can be humiliating at the best of times and laughing at another’s misfortune is disgusting and although Strictly is just an entertainment show, we invest time and emotion into it and therefore it matters to us who take part.
We are not changing the world but we do care. That’s all, rant over! We are coming back stronger next week, I believe in team #charcole”
