“The best telly I’ve seen.” Tom Hardy was incredible.
As always, if you’re not up to date with the latest episode of Peaky Blinders, consider this to be your spoiler alert.
Look away now.
We knew that it was going to be great but even the most optimistic Peaky Blinders fan couldn’t have hoped for a better scene as Tommy’s nemesis, Luca Changretta, came face-to-face with Camden’s most lovable rogue, Alfie Solomons.
The most recent episode, The Duel, got off to a spectacular start as Aunt Polly showed her true colours by giving Tommy a warning that the Mafia were closing in – hey, we did think that was going to happen.
After dispatching three of his enemies via the biggest f**king gun that you’ll see, the leader of the Peaky Blinders quickly turned his attention to the women in his life, Lizzie and Jessie Eden.
While Arthur did coke and Aunt Polly got ‘familiar’ with Aberama Gold, it was left to Adrien Brody and Tom Hardy to deliver one of the finest scenes in the history of Steven Knight’s superb gangster drama. That’s saying a lot.
Right from the beginning, Alfie showed that he wasn’t going to be intimidated, bullied or coerced by the dangerous gangster.
Then again, poor Luca didn’t know what the hell was going on because ‘The Wandering Jew’ kept his eyes closed for the first few minutes of their conversation!

Alfie’s delivery of the line: “Right, well, you will have to add another ton onto your bill, for being a c***, mate, alright” was absolutely brilliant and we also got a good laugh when he said to Luca: “I already know what you want. I just want you to tell me out loud so I can check how ridiculous it is.”
What’s Alfie’s grand scheme? Who the hell knows! Let’s just enjoy the ride.
After the show ended, it’s clear that Peaky Blinders fans can’t get enough of Tom Hardy’s character.
In fact, some people have said that this scene was worth the license fee alone.
I reckon that 15 minute scene with Alfie & Luca in Peaky Blinders has to rate as the best telly I've seen since Delboy put his elbow on the bar & it wasn't there.

Once again, Tom Hardy stole the show on #PeakyBlinders 😂 Alfie Solomons is one of the best t.v. characters ever. Has me laughing every time he opens his mouth.
