This is the biggest news in the history of the robotics industry –Â Robot Wars is back.
It’s been more than a decade since the BBC last put taxpayer money into making robots attempt to brutally murder each other for our viewing pleasure, but finally the national broadcaster has seen sense as they have decided to reboot the series.
A six-episode series has been commissioned for BBC2 to run this year and will be filmed in a “literally bullet-proof” arena in Glasgow, according to BBC’s acting controller of entertainment Alan Tyler.
Details like who will host it or how to enter have not yet been released, but we’ll be sure to update you when we know.
