There’s no such thing as bad publicity.
Jeremy Clarkson is no stranger to controversy following his high-profile exit from the BBC’s ultra-popular car show Top Gear last year.
In the latest episode of their new show, The Grand Tour, the trio of Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond demonstrate the best way to smuggle a migrant across the border.
But the segment was hit with heavy criticism from migrant charities with Babara Drozdowicz, from the East European Resource Centre, telling the Daily Star: “We are appalled by the portrayal of migrants as an illegal cargo.”
In the scene outlined by The Express, May and Clarkson asked the audience to find Richard Hammond. After a minute of unsuccessful searching, they removed the back bumper of an Audi TT to reveal Hammond hiding within.

Clarkson explained: “When immigrants try to get into the country they always come in the back of a container lorry and that is the world’s worst game of hide and seek.
“If you work for Border Force, you open the doors and go, ‘Well, there you are’
“Surely, there must be a better way of getting into Britain. And I think I’ve worked it out.”
It’s not the first time the show has been involved in controversy, with a complaint being lodged by the travelling community over a comment made in the opening episode.
