The bank holiday weekend hasn’t stopped Piers Morgan from taking a fresh dig at Harry and Meghan
Piers Morgan has branded Harry and Meghan “spoiled brats” in a bizarre new rant, while unfavourably comparing them to Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.
Morgan has long had it in for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Earlier this year, Morgan left his role as co-host of ITV’s Good Morning Britain in the wake of comments he made about Meghan Markle.
He said ITV ‘ordered’ him to apologise for the remarks, but he refused – quitting Good Morning Britain before bosses could sack him.
After Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which Markle opened up about experiencing suicidal thoughts during her lowest moments in Britain, Morgan said he “didn’t believe a word she said.”
Understandably, this proved controversial with over 41,000 people complaining to Ofcom about the remarks.
The mental health charity Mind expressed concern about Morgan’s comments.

Piers attempted to clarify his comments.
He said: “On mental illness and suicide, these are clearly extremely serious things and should be taken extremely seriously. And, if someone is feeling that way, they should get the treatment and the help that they need every time.
“If they belong to an institution, like the Royal Family, and they go and seek that help, they should absolutely be given it.”
He said he still didn’t believe her, however – and soon after left his role on Good Morning Britain.
On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions. pic.twitter.com/bv6zpz4Roe

Now, the former News Of The World editor has taken a fresh swipe at Harry and Meghan in his weekly newspaper column – comparing them unfavourably to Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.
Writing in the Mail on Sunday, Morgan spoke highly of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, daughters of Prince Andrew.
He said: “I’ve known both Princesses since they were very young, and they’ve been through a lot of tough times in the media spotlight, especially lately over their father Prince Andrew’s shameful friendship with billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.”
The same could not be said for his views on Harry and Meghan, however.
“But they [Eugenie and Beatrice] never complain, or give whining interviews, or publicly trash their family, and they’re always incredibly nice, polite and good fun – which all makes such a refreshing change from their narcissistic, self-pitying, family-abusing, spoiled-brat cousins over in California.”
