Oh, Piers
Love Island is completely love or hate. You’re either cancelling Friday night plans to stay in with ITV2, blowing up your WhatsApp group about how much you love Alex, or you’re raging on Facebook about how much you hate it and wish people would shut about it and how it’s a sign that the country is going to hell.
Piers Morgan, in case you didn’t know, is definitely the latter. Here he is, accidentally flipping to ITV2, then accidentally screen-grabbing it to send to all his followers, completely not tuning in on purpose.
Accidentally stumbled across Love Island… my God, these cretins are even more stupid than I feared. 🙈🙈🙈 pic.twitter.com/ALREEXgcYl

Hayley Hughes, if you don’t watch the show, is the girl who came to fame when she thought Brexit was about trees, and didn’t know what an earlobe was.
She was sent home from the villa at the weekend, and as evicted Love Island contestants do, is currently doing the media rounds to make the most of her fifteen minutes of fame. And along with other former islanders Kendal and Charlie, she went on Good Morning Britain, to spar with Morgan.
Shockingly, it did not go well.
Does #LoveIsland's Hayley know anything about the Pythagorean theorem? Nope and neither do you @piersmorgan! pic.twitter.com/h3dsS3Aii1

Morgan, trying to be all clever, asked Hayley if she knew the Pythagorean theorem.
Susanna Reid hit back though, asking if Morgan himself did, and he started to reel off a load of numbers.
Now, anyone who’s done GCSE Maths should see the error he’s made here. The Pythagorean theorem is the geometry concept that the square of the hypotenuse on a right angle triangle is equal to the sum of the square of the other two sides.
The numbers Morgan came out with is Pi, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, which is approximately 3.14159. It is something completely different. In his attempt to show off his intellectual superiority over someone who’s only crime is to go on a reality show, Morgan mugged himself off live on TV.
I’ve mugged myself off. 🙈🙈 https://t.co/zrbzaM8ksT

Oh dear, Piers. Oh dear.
