For many of us, our dads are the strong, silent type.
They’re not usually the ones to praise every little thing you do, with our mums usually paying us compliments.
One famous dad, ex-Top Gear presenter was supporting his daughter Emily Clarkson as she completed a triathlon for charity on Saturday.
The 21-year-old was doing a triathlon and supportive father Jeremy was on hand to cheer her on.
The British TV presenter used his classic dry wit to commentate his daughter’s journey to the finish line.
Jeremy is said to be busy making The Grand Tour, a new show with fellow ex-Top Gear stalwarts James May and Richard Hammond.
The British father of three took time out to support brave Emily and his tweets are glowing examples of his support.

Following the finish of the triathlon, the proud dad uploaded a hilarious picture of Emily enjoying a little treat after her impressive physical feat.

We’re not quite sure what to make of this soft, caring side of the brash presenter. Let’s hope he says something ridiculous soon to redress the balance.
