Robert Morse, a veteran of stage and screen, has passed away aged 90
The actor best known for playing the role of Bert Cooper in AMC’s hit period drama, Mad Men, has passed away age 90. The news was broken by his son, Charlie, via Eyewitness News on Wednesday night.
Further details surrounding his death are yet to be released.

A two-time Tony winner with numerous acting credits to his name, Morse has a long and illustrious career, earning five Emmy nominations for his role as Cooper and even returning to Broadway at the age of 85 back in 2016.
Writer-producer, friend and long-time colleague Larry Karaszewski paid tribute to his “huge talent and beautiful spirit”:

Morse starred in the 1961 stage production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, winning his first Tony Award for the performance in 1962 before starring in the film adaptation five years later.
He went on to win his second in 1992 for his portrayal of Truman Capote in Tru, putting him in very esteemed company:

As well as his role as one half of the Sterling Cooper advertising’s partners, Morse enjoyed roles in the likes of A Guide for the Married Man, The Loved One, Red and Here Come The Munsters; he even leant his vocal talents to an animated version of the classic Christmas tale, Jack Frist
His send-off in the final season of the iconic show is one of the most beloved moments in TV history, described as a true “love letter” to a wonderful and decorated body of work with a passion for theatre that persisted throughout.
