No one ever really dies.
Performing holograms of deceased musicians continues to prove big business. The next one to rise from the dead is “I Drove All Night” singer Roy Orbison.
In a first-of-its-kind event, a holographic Roy Orbison will once again perform his biggest hits in top venues across the UK backed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in a transformative live entertainment concert experience.
Roy Orbison In Dreams: The Hologram UK tour is a mesmerising touring event that will launch in April 2018. Presented through extraordinary theatrical stagecraft, Roy Orbison In Dreams will bring the legendary rock and roll hall of fame icon back to life through mind-blowing holographic technology as he performs his greatest hits accompanied by a live symphony orchestra.
Alex Orbison, President of Roy Orbison Music said:
“My Dad was one of the first people to combine rock and roll with orchestral sound so to see the full meal deal of having the big orchestra with my Dad is really a dream set up.”
Recognised the world over as one of the great musical legends, Orbison’s catalogue includes chart-toppers such as “Oh, Pretty Woman”, “You Got It”, “Only the Lonely”, “Crying”, “I Drove All Night”, “It’s Over” and “In Dreams”.
This upcoming tour will allow fans old and new to get the chance to experience Roy Orbison in a spectacular and thrilling new way as he and his trademark three-octave range voice come back to the stage that he commanded for decades.
