It comes amid more allegations of his abuse
While Joss Whedon is famous for creating shows such as Buffy, Angel and Firefly (and also working on the recent Marvel movies), he has also become infamous for treating actors badly on set.
Last year, Justice League actor Ray Fisher said that Whedon was “was gross, abusive, unprofessional and completely unacceptable” on set.
This accusation is far from the first one of its kind as it has been known for many years that actors working on the set of Buffy and Angel had very similar experiences.
This week, actor Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia Chase on both Buffy and Angel posted to social media detailing all the abuse she alleged suffered on set.

Within hours of her initial posts several more of the actors who worked on the show not only showed support for Carpenter but also back her up.
Among those to show support was Buffy actor, Sarah Michelle Gellar who posted this message to social media.

Since the show ended in 2003, Gellar has tried to keep her life separate from it, and unlike many of the cast does not attend Buffy-related conventions.
During interviews at the time, Gellar’s husband Freddie Prinze Jr discussed the stress his wife experienced while working on Buffy, but did not go into greater detail about what that stress might be.
Not long after Gellar’s comments, Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Buffy’s younger sister Dawn on the show, re-shared Gellar’s post along with an ominous message in red.
Other Buffy actors including Amber Benson who played Tara, Emma Caulfield who played Anya and Claire Kramer who played Glory have all shown their support to Carpenter for coming forward.
As of yet, Whedon has not made any public statement on the accusations.
