Janet Street-Porter was not happy.
Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon today admitted that she was “selfish” for not registering as an organ donor, citing a dislike of thinking about death as the main reason behind her decision.
When pressed by presenter Andrea McLean, the former X Factor contestant did admit that she would take a donated organ if she needed to.
Solomon said: “The whole thing is selfish. Obviously I would want to stay alive. I know it sounds so awful.’
“I don’t even know why I’m not a donor. I just don’t like to think about death and whenever I think about anything like that it automatically steers me down that road.”
Whilst other members of the panel were relatively sympathetic, Janet Street-Porter was shocked that the singer wasn’t planning for the future, calling her decision “ridiculous”. Judging by the reactions on social media, it seems many others agreed.

If you are willing to receive an organ then you should be willing to donate yours. Be sensible not selfish… oh and if you could not overide a decision made …that would be great. Thanks.

If you are prepared to accept a donated organ to save your own life then you should be prepared to donate your organs to save someone else’s life, no brainier, register now.

Yep I think it's very selfish not to donate ur organs… Especially if ud be prepared to accept one should you need it.

I don’t understand how someone can easily accept an organ off someone willing to give, but wont donate themselves and can’t give a reason why🤔 scared of death? I don’t think that’s a good enough reason
