American actor Anton Yelchin, perhaps best known for playing the role of Pavel Chekov in Star Trek and its sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, has been found dead.
Yelchin, who was just 27, was found dead on Sunday morning after he was pinned between his car and a wall, according to TMZ. The accident occurred in the driveway of his San Fernando Valley home.
The police do not suspect that foul play was a factor in Yelchin’s death.
Yelchin was also known for his roles in Alpha Dog, Terminator Salvination and the Steven Spielberg TV miniseries of Taken.
Yelchin was born in Russia but moved with his family to the United States as a baby. His parents were professional figure skaters and moved to America to further their careers.
