It is good to see that he is getting the help that he needs.
Jake Lloyd, the former child actor who played the younger version of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, has been diagnosed with schizophrenia whilst serving time in prison.
The 27-year-old was arrested for reckless driving, driving without a license, and resisting arrest in June of last year, but his mother, Lisa Lloyd, has always maintained that he suffers from the mental illness, and that the incident was due to him failing to take his medication.
Now she has confirmed to TMZ that Lloyd has finally been moved from his prison cell to a psychiatric facility after he was officially diagnosed with the condition.
Lisa Lloyd confirmed that he had spoken to the former actor last week, and that “an improvement in his personality” was already evident. She added that: :His family wants him to take his time to get healthy.”
